Power flushing uses specialist equipment to push cleaning chemicals and water through the system at high velocity, dislodging and flushing out this debris and restoring efficiency. In the chalk-water belt of Essex and Hertfordshire, hard water creates a particularly consistent scale load on heat exchangers and pipework, and power flushing combined with a corrosion-inhibitor dose is among the most cost-effective maintenance steps available. A power flush is strongly recommended whenever a new boiler is fitted to an existing system — sludge from old pipework can damage a new heat exchanger significantly within the first year if the system is not cleaned first. We add inhibitor after flushing to slow re-accumulation. All work is fully insured.
